Pastor Shand shared the vision with the church late in 2009, and it has been received with great enthusiasm. &nbsp; The population of Japan has had very little exposure to biblical Christianity. If you were to walk up to the average young person on the street and ask if they knew about Jesus their response would be, &quot;Is he an American?&quot;. &nbsp; So, our desire is to work with Pastor Rod and help him do what he does best! Founder Mark de Jong launched into the deep, from running large Youth for Christ concerts to starting a ministry which has now seen 20 years of growth. Still passionate about supporting musicians who sing what they stand for, Mark believes, &ldquo;There&rsquo;s power in a song to touch the human spirit when words are simply not enough.&rdquo; Parachute Music quickly grew into a national organisation, filling the gap between artists and record companies. So far, over $500,000 has been raised and we need a further $1.5 Million by early 2011. We will enter 21 days of prayer and fasting and on Sunday November 1, we will bring our finances and 12 month pledges to church for a powerful time of celebration and consecration.
